Start walking…

I found a quote recently that I wanted to share:

“Many situations in life are similar to going on a hike: the view changes once you start walking.

You don’t need all the answers right now.

New paths will reveal themselves if you have the courage to get started.”

– James Clear

These words really resonated, and the memories came flooding back to the time that I decided to start Paxton Bridge.  A decision that has allowed me to meet, help and collaborate with some great people, both clients and other professionals.

Taking the first steps – the planning, preparation and deciding the direction to take – can be challenging, but the key is to begin. Start “walking” and don’t wait for the perfect moment because the reality is there may not be one.

With any strategy or plan, you need to have an end goal, but the steps to reach that goal don’t have to be in concrete. You don’t need to know everything about your journey ahead. In fact, half the fun is what you experience and learn along the way!

Plan in detail, identify the choices and opportunities available, and reach out to family, friends, or trusted advisors when you need support or advice.

Determine your “hike” and start today because inaction gets you nowhere.
