Why do I need advice?
People often say, “Why would I need a financial advisor? I’ve got everything sorted”.
We see our role being to challenge you as to what “being sorted” really means and then ask the questions that help outline what means the most to you.
For most of the people we talk with they say their family is the most important thing in their lives, and therefore the reason we do what we do is to ensure you and your family have certainty and control over your financial decisions.
We want you to feel good now, and in the future, whatever it may bring and have comfort that plans are in place for uncertain times or when the unexpected happens.
For us, it’s about assessing your situation in its entirety and asking what do YOU want to achieve in life? What do you want to do for your kids, parents, extended family or even the wider community? And are plans in place to make those goals achievable? Whatever the situation looks like for you, we can help you plan for the future.
The sketch below, by Carl Richards, gives visual representation of how we help you get your affairs into order.
So, what does the Paxton Bridge approach look like?
At our first meeting, we work with you to understand and document what you hope to achieve, as well as what you feel is working for you financially and what may not be working. We ask a lot of questions that help us determine your fundamental financial needs and address your goals for the future.
We then take this information, assess where we feel we can add value for you and then prepare a Terms of Engagement document.
This initial process, or “discovery” phase has no fee attached and is obligation free. If you feel that we are not the right fit for you or your business then we part ways, at no cost to you.
If you decide that Paxton Bridge can add value, and help you achieve the outcomes that have been discussed, then the formal advice process starts.
We pride ourselves in providing a tailored approach that helps you achieve certainty and control over your financial future, giving you peace of mind in uncertain times.
